When a website visitor lands on your website, browses around, and finds an item they like, they’d complete the transaction directly through your site, almost as if they were buying the product from you. 

But rather than processing and shipping the item yourself, you would send your order to a supplier, who would then dispatch the item directly to the customer.

Similar to drop shipping, affiliate marketing allows you to start a business by promoting other people’s products and services rather than your own. 

However, your business isn’t involved in the sales process with affiliate marketing whatsoever. 

Instead, your job as an affiliate marketer is to find affiliate products and services that your target audience might enjoy. After joining an affiliate program or two, you would share links to products or services with your online audience. Your links will direct your visitors to a wholesaler website, such as Amazon, where the transaction will take place. 

Any time a person purchases through one of your links, you earn a small commission on the sale. 

Launch A Business And Keep Your Day Job 

Although some of these ideas might be difficult to balance with your existing nine to five, there are genuinely no business ideas or concepts out there that won’t require a bit of hard work. 

On the bright side, once you’ve got your online business set up, these business ideas are meant to help you generate income without devoting your entire life to running things.
